Oops I Read the Wrong Bible Verse

Posted by Bakersfield Brat on 3:12 PM
Have you ever read the wrong page or the wrong article? Well I have. In fact I have done it more often then I would like to mention. I was working on my Bible Study Beth Moore - Living Beyond Yourself - Week 2, and was suppose to read First Corinthians 2:6-3:3 instead I read 2 Corinthians 2:5-3:3. What an oops that was. This bible verse hit so home that I had to share it with two of my friends. I was so amazed at how a lil' oops can point you in the right direction. The Holy Spirit works in crazy ways. This is the part that spoke to my heart and explained exactly what was needed in the situation at hand. Thank you God!

2 Corinthians 2:5-11 (New International Version)
Forgiveness for the Sinner

5If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you, to some extent—not to put it too severely. 6The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient for him. 7Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. 8I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. 9The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. 10If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
